The point of sale
Ring up a sale: find the item, set the quantity, attach a customer, apply a discount within your limit.
The register is the screen your staff use all day, and it is built to be fast: category tabs, a search box that also accepts a scanner, quantity steppers on every tile, and a cart that shows the total as it grows. Every tile shows the branch's real stock right now — the number in the corner is what is on the shelf, not yesterday's count.
Check the branch shown in the top bar. Sales post to that branch and draw down its default warehouse.
Find the item: tap its category tab, type part of its name or code in Search, or scan the barcode into the scan box — a scanned item goes straight into the cart.
Set the quantity with the + and − on the tile before adding, or adjust it in the cart afterwards. Available Stock, when ticked, hides anything the branch has run out of.
Attach a customer by phone number or name if the sale is on account, for delivery, or simply to keep their history. What is required here is decided in Settings.
Enter a discount percentage if one applies. The register will not accept more than your role allows, and promotions already in effect are applied automatically — you do not key those in.
Press Checkout to take payment. To serve someone else first, press Hold instead — the cart, customer and all, waits under Held Invoices.
Good practice
- A barcode scanner needs no setup — it types into whichever box has focus, so keep the scan box focused between customers.
- The register works on a tablet held in portrait; the cart moves below the grid.
