Delivery & Dispatch
Every delivery tracked from assignment to cash collected, with nothing double-counted along the way.
What dispatch keeps under control
Driver assignment that locks on delivery
An order is assigned to a driver from the dispatch screen, and once it's marked delivered, that driver of record can't be reassigned, even by an admin.
A real status workflow
Every order moves through Pending, Delivered, Failed with a required reason, or Retry Scheduled with a set date, and can be reset back to Pending if needed.
Cash on delivery, posted exactly once
Marking a cash-on-delivery order as delivered posts the collected amount to the general ledger, guarded against posting it twice on a re-confirmation.
Optional delivery proof
A photo can be attached at the moment an order is marked delivered, for the deliveries where it matters.
Address fixes without touching the customer record
If a driver can't find an address, dispatch can correct it for that one order without altering the customer's saved profile.
Pricing that follows the zone
Delivery price charged to the customer and delivery cost to the business are both set per governorate and city, alongside a company-wide free-delivery threshold.
Dispatch closes the loop the order opened
An order created at the register or the online store flows straight into dispatch, and the cash a driver collects on delivery settles back into the same treasury as every other payment, never a side ledger of its own.
Questions about delivery & dispatch
What happens if a delivery fails?
It's marked Failed with a required reason, or set to Retry Scheduled with a new date, and can always be moved back to Pending if it needs another attempt.
Could cash collected on delivery get counted twice?
No. Posting cash-on-delivery cash to the ledger is guarded against happening more than once, even if the order is reopened or re-confirmed.
Can delivery pricing differ by area?
Yes. Both the price charged to the customer and the cost to the business are configured per governorate and city, plus a free-delivery threshold that applies company-wide.
Can a driver fix a wrong address at the door?
Yes, dispatch can correct the address on that specific order without changing the customer's saved address on file.
