Taking payment: cash, K-Net and split

One sale, any mix of payment methods, each recorded as its own line.

Customers pay part card, part cash, or put the balance on account — and a system that forces one method per sale ends up with wrong cash counts at shift end. Exceed Store records each portion as its own payment line. The cash figure the handover expects at close is built from exactly these lines, which is why getting the method right at the till matters.

Taking payment: cash, K-Net and split
  1. Press Checkout. The payment screen shows the total and one row per method your branch accepts.

  2. For a cash sale, tap Cash. The full total fills in; enter what the customer handed over in Received and the change to give back is calculated for you.

  3. For K-Net, tap K-Net and enter the reference number from the terminal receipt. Keeping that reference is what lets a payment be traced later.

  4. To split, enter the amount against each method — 10.000 on K-Net and the rest in cash, say. The screen keeps a running total so you can see when the sale is fully covered.

  5. Credit puts the remaining balance on the customer's account. It is only available when a customer with a credit limit is attached, and only up to that limit.

  6. Confirm. The receipt prints if a printer is connected, stock is reduced, and the sale, its stock movement and its ledger entries are posted in the same instant.

Good practice

  • Enter the K-Net reference every time, even when busy. A missing reference is the most common reason a card payment cannot be reconciled with the bank.
  • If a customer pays a held invoice later, recall it first — never re-ring the items, or stock is reduced twice.
