Inventory
One real number for what's on the shelf, updated by every sale, purchase and return, not a spreadsheet a day behind.
What the inventory module tracks
Every branch, every warehouse
Stock is counted per warehouse, and a branch can hold more than one, a main store and a backup stockroom, for example, each tracked separately and summed automatically where it matters.
Weighted-average costing
Cost per item is recalculated automatically on every purchase, so margin and valuation reports always reflect what stock actually cost, not a fixed price set once and forgotten.
Units and conversions
Every item has a base unit for counting stock, plus optional alternate units for buying or selling, a carton of 24 pieces, for instance, with the system converting between them automatically.
Stock transfers between branches
Move stock from one branch's warehouse to another's directly, the only way inventory relocates between locations without going through a sale or a purchase.
Barcodes and bulk import
Scan a barcode at the register to add an item instantly, and add or update hundreds of items at once through an Excel template rather than one by one.
Reports that follow real movement
A live quantity summary per item and warehouse, plus a full movement log filterable by warehouse, type, or date, showing exactly where every unit came from and went.
The single number every other screen reads from
A sale at the register, a purchase invoice, or a stock transfer all adjust the same underlying stock figures the moment they're recorded. Cost of goods sold and gross margin in the accounting module are calculated from these exact same numbers, never a separate estimate.
Questions about inventory
Can I manage stock across more than one branch?
Yes. Each branch has its own warehouse or warehouses, tracked independently, and stock transfers move goods between them without touching a sale or purchase record.
How is the cost of an item calculated?
By weighted-average cost, recalculated automatically every time a purchase comes in, so valuation and profit reports always use a real, current cost rather than a number set once at the start.
Can I move existing stock levels in from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Items, along with their stock levels and prices, import from an Excel file, and there's a template to fill in. Rows with a code that already exists update that item instead of duplicating it.
What's the only way to move stock between branches?
A stock transfer. It's the sole path for relocating inventory from one branch's warehouse to another's without it going through a sale or a purchase.
