Inventory reports
What is on hand, where, and every movement that got it there.
Two questions come up constantly: how much do we have, and where did it go. The Quantity Summary answers the first — a grid of items against warehouses. The Stock Movements report answers the second — every purchase, sale, return, transfer and adjustment, filterable by item, warehouse, type and date, with a running balance. Together they replace the stock-take spreadsheet.
Open Insights → Inventory Reports. The Quantity Summary tab shows current stock per item per warehouse; filter by category or search an item.
Switch to Stock Movements to trace a single item: choose it, optionally a warehouse and movement type, and a date range. Each row shows the document that caused it and the balance after.
Export either tab to Excel for a physical count. Exporting is its own permission, separate from viewing.
On the register, Available Stock only shows what the branch has; for a low-stock list across every branch, use a smart category with a low-stock rule.
Good practice
- When a count disagrees with the report, read the movement history before adjusting. The discrepancy usually has a document behind it.
